Chris Klees

Born and raised in Luxembourg, I have been living for more than 25 years in the Netherlands travelling extensively, especially in South East Asia. Seeing the world and its people has always been very important to me.

For several years now I have divided my time between Andalusia and Amsterdam.

Being mostly self-taught, I already had several exhibitions in Holland before going on to Art School in Utrecht. Exhibitions followed in Germany, France and Holland.

Photography for me is the reflection of live. The joy of it, the pain, the beauty…all of our emotions can be expressed and/or found in it.

My preferred subjects are Nature, People and Architecture. I love playing with light and form. And, more often than not, I try to unveil the layered reality which surrounds us. Sometimes using veils to unveil, sometimes using a direct look at more hidden things.
