Born in Ekeren (Belgium) in 1994, studies art (Illustration) at St. Luc Superior Art School in Brussels, married with two children and five grand-children. She publishes a childrens’ book in 1979 “Les Mangeurs de Ciel” (Duculot) – “De Hemeleters ” (Heuff) with author Daniel Fano. She lives successively in Paris, Geneva, Munich, London, Brussels and Gaucin.

She learns ceramics in 1988 and starts her own studio in Genval in 1998 where she also teaches ceramics. She creates the “Poules de Catherine Hunter” in 2000 and sells tens of thousands of them all over the world.

She embarks on sailing from France to Australia with her husband from 2004 to 2007. En route, she works with local potters and ceramists, whenever she has the opportunity.
