I was born in England but have lived much of my adult life in Spain. I studied photography at the Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design before moving to Gaucin permanently in 1992 where I lived for 25 years. Recently I have moved to Estepona but several months of the year is spent on a boat – in France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
I work both in colour and B/W, initially preferring monochrome but moving more towards colour over the years. I no longer have a darkroom but find that I can achieve what I want with modern technology, printing digitally with high quality, stable materials.
I use a number of different cameras, and work both from digital images and scanned negatives.
My work is in private collections in most European countries and in the USA. I have been a member of Art Gaucin since its inception.
My favourite subjects? Hidden meanings and confusing images, a little mystery, beauty in surprising places.
